Diversity: Understand First, then Prosper.

Race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation - these all create diversity. But true diversity comes from factors beyond these obvious attributes. The smallest differences in individuals produce the most important diversity of all...diversity of thinking.

A white, male Baby-Boomer engineer may look similar to a white, male baby-boomer salesman, but he will think differently. And, the silver-haired salesman's thought processes may have more in common with the young, asian, female designer working in the marketing department. How can you identify this hidden layer of diversity, and more importantly, what can you do about it? How do you best communicate with diverse thinkers? How do you capture the potential created by diverse thinking among your workforce?

The beauty of workplace diversity lies in bridging the gap of difference while harnessing the power to be innovative and successful. Organizations that succeed in this endeavor gain a significant competitive advantage. What does it take to get out of thorny conflicts and onto that bridge? That's what our facilitation addresses. Business success depends on an ability to harness individual strengths for a collective win. The key component is an often overlooked piece of the diversity puzzle, one that addresses the need to honor difference with an eye to effectiveness.
